Drainage before sealing on hillside homes
On a sloped Atlanta lot, sealing the crawl space before handling the uphill water is the most common mistake we are called to correct. Water arriving at the high wall does not care about a liner — it runs under it, keeps the soil saturated and leaves the space humid. Grading and downspout corrections come first, then interior drainage where needed, then the sealed system. If you already have water showing up after storms, start there.
